Er. Sushant Chalise is an engineer, researcher, and educator based at the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University — Nepal's premier technical institution. With a career spanning over a decade, he bridges the worlds of systems engineering, applied research, and technology entrepreneurship.
His academic journey began with a B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, followed by an M.Sc. in Climate Change and Sustainable Development, during which he was awarded an Erasmus+ mobility grant to conduct thesis research in Italy for three months — studying solar radiation estimation using hybrid AI models. His thesis, supervised by Prof. Dr. Khem Narayan Poudyal and Asst. Prof. Aayush Bhattarai, proposed novel ANN-based approaches for solar resource assessment in Nepal.
He is currently pursuing a second master's in Data Science & Analytics (Computer Engineering) at Pulchowk Campus, continuing to publish at the intersection of intelligent systems and urban infrastructure. He also serves as IEEE Young Professionals Chair and was a co-founder & CTO of Green Coins Pvt. Ltd., a social enterprise recognised at Climate Launchpad South Asia.
